1910 Memorial to Sir Wilfred Laurier

The 1910 Memorial to Sir Wilfred Laurier is a central inclusion for the work done at Qwelmínte Secwépemc. The Memorial dates back to 1910, when Secwépemc Ancestors spoke of a pathway toward building positive and equal relationships between the Secwépemc people and Western settlers, and initiated communications towards this goal. Much of our work and documents, such as the Joint Intentions Paper, draws from the Sir Wilfred Laurier Memorial.
